Samsung Illusion and Pantech Breakout to Land on Verizon's Network

Two new smartphones for Verizon Wireless have been just spotted into the wild, namely the Samsung Illusion and Pantech Breakout, both of which are expected to hit the market before the end of this month, the latter also packing support for the carrier's LTE network.

Recently, info on a Samsung Stratosphere LTE phone emerged as well, suggesting that it might go official at Verizon before the end of this week, but with no official confirmation on it available for the time being.

Moreover, there is also the DROID Bionic from Motorola, which was long rumored to have been slated for a September 8th release, only two days from now.

Even so, the Pantech Breakout should still prove an appealing addition to Verizon offering, with a 4-inch screen capable of delivering a WVGA resolution.

The mobile phone is rumored to include a 1GHz application processor inside, a single core one, along with 512MB of memory, and a five megapixels photo snapper on the back, complemented by a front-facing camera for video calling.

The new handset is said to come to the market with mobile hotspot capabilities as well, offering support for a number of no less than 10 WiFi-enabled devices, rumor has it.

This means that users will be able to connect even more of their device to the carrier's LTE network using a single hotspot, while also having a fairly good smartphone in their hands. Pantech Breakout should become official in a matter of days.

The Samsung Illusion will be an affordable handset, with an 800MHz application processor inside, an HVGA resolution screen, and a camera that should be of around three or five megapixels. The new mobile phone is said to sport model number SCH-i110 and should arrive on shelves at Verizon sometimes towards the end of the month.
