Taylor Swift grew up on a Christmas tree farm, so she clearly has a very personal connection to the holiday. That’s probably why she got so excited when she heard “Merry Swiftmas (Even Though I Celebrate Chanukah).” A singer/songwriter named Evan Taubenfeld (who used to play guitar for and collaborate with Avril Lavigne) debuted the song on YouTube and tweeted it to Swift. The pop-country superstar responded relatively soon after the initial tweet. “This made me smile,” she tweeted, adding the link to the song.
Evan explains in the lyrics that all he wants for Christmas is Taylor, and he’d be disappointed if any other famous females took her place.
